A college freshman with AD/HD became completely overwhelmed his 2nd semester in college. He finished his freshman year with a 1.6 cumulative GPA. He returned home and had several months of AD/HD Coaching. His attitude toward academic studies and personal accountability improved greatly. When he returned to college, his coach helped him utilize Accommodations (note taker assistance, extended time on tests, etc.). She also helped him learn how to monitor his daily schedule, grades, budget, and sleep. With a course load of 12 credit hours, he studied a minimum of 24 hours each week. He also started a part-time job and participated in monthly phone conferences with his parents and coach. In one semester, he brought his overall GPA up to a 3.5, enabling him to get into his chosen major. Three years later, he graduated with a 3.28 GPA!
