Dennis worked closely with me as my coach from November 2013 until May 2014. With a regular regiment of coaching sessions and check ins, he helped me stay out of my head and focused on the present moment and task at hand. Our relationship felt like a collaboration, which helped me to approach my work and schedule in ways that I would never have been able to on my own. Working with Dennis not only helped raise my GPA on both semesters that we worked together, but also helped me to understand myself better by shining a new perspective on my life goals and work habits!

Having Camille as my ADHD coach for a year during my senior year in college was a great experience. I refused to take any medications, so I chose ADHD Coaching which included 30-40 minute weekly sessions on the phone and check-ins via email. Camille helped me with organizing my daily activities by creating daily schedules and sticky notes to remember things. She also helped me with preparing for public speaking presentations and improvement of my listening skills. The school year is going really well! My classes are all pretty hard (all 300 and 400 level!) but I really like them so I don’t mind at all. I’ve actually been using a lot of coaching tools, more so than last year even. It’s a lot easier to do when you start the year off right and never get behind or start using bad habits at all. I try to do reading for each class the night before we discuss it in class, and if I can’t, I always catch up over the weekend.
I’ve even gotten ahead on a few classes’ readings. I’m also using the filing system we discussed; although I still don’t have hanging files, I have a bunch of folders in my bookshelf. I have them for each class (for older things that don’t need to be in my notebooks anymore), for my major and minors, for career/gmat/internships, for study abroad, for instructions/warranties, etc., etc., you get the picture.
I’ve also been keeping my room pretty clean. It does get messy occasionally but only to the point where I can spend 20 minutes tidying up and it’s spotless again. I’m definitely on top of things and rarely feel overwhelmed.
I’ve also been exercising at least 4 times per week (although I sprained my ankle over the summer and just re-sprained it, so I have to use the elliptical instead of running unfortunately), and I’ve rediscovered how much it helps with my mood, ability to focus on work, and general well-being. The 2 hours it takes to get to the gym, work out, and shower are definitely made up in the amount of time I save by not dithering around and getting distracted. Plus I’ve lost 8 pounds, which is obviously awesome.
Thank you for all your help last year. It’s really making a difference, even more so this year than last!

I’m already reviewing for exams a couple of weeks before I have them. I got this from coaching. Coaching has helped me see things more from a planning perspective – planning ahead and starting early helps make things much easier. I feel much less stressed now about exams, and things are much more doable. So now it is not just like memorizing everything right before an exam and then forgetting it, but doing reading as I go along so that I am actually learning the material when I review it a couple of weeks before a test.
Coaching has helped increase my overall organization abilities. It helped me get my room more organized. It’s still clean weeks after I did the major clean-up! My folks won’t even believe it when they come see me! And I’m also sleeping more. That’s helping a lot.

Hi, Camille. I wanted to let you know that I’m doing quite well. I returned to college and am enrolled in fall classes and took two summer classes. I’ve been doing my schoolwork at the library right after class which has helped me tremendously. Music is going well also – we are doing paid gigs and recording our next album.
Ever since September, things have really turned around for me. I got a 3.5 last semester. I also started a weight training program and go to the gym several times a week, which, in addition to helping me look and feel more mature, has been incredibly therapeutic.
Another huge change has come from my improved sleep schedule- I’m still making music but I spend most of my time composing in the mornings instead of late at night.
