Dennis is a lifelong coach. For him, it’s not just, “I’ve got a contract goal and I’m through.” It’s connectivity, consistent nurturing, mentoring, and coaching. He takes his work with pride, and he cares about whether his work is effective and about helping the individual become a better person. And this is what makes him unique. If you want a consultant who will sell you the software – the package – you get that, and then they’re gone. But I know I can pick up the phone and call Dennis and get his thoughts anytime I need him. He doesn’t have to market himself with our company because he is known here for who he is. We know we can call Dennis when it is crunch time, and we’ll get results.

Dennis LaMountain is an extraordinary consultant and partner in working to make a difference for an organization or an individual. I’ve not personally experienced anyone that has the ability to engage the client in such an introspective, intuitive, and profound way.
Dennis has a wealth of experiences, skills, processes, and tools to draw from as he collaborates with you to achieve results. These results are based on real shifts in attitudes, behaviors, and performance.
I appreciate and have confidence in his ability to:
- Challenge one’s thinking and status quo
- Intuitively ‘read between the lines’ and grasp/articulate the unspoken message(s)
- Ask the tough questions without making you feel threatened
- Connect the work to a larger perspective/context
- Coach and significantly influence people
Dennis has ‘delivered’ beyond my expectations, every time. I look forward to opportunities to engage him as a partner in future efforts.

I learned a lot during the coaching process with Dennis. He was able to establish a positive partnership with me since the beginning of the process. He built trust through an open, sincere, and ethical approach. He helped me to be clear about what I wanted for my career and realize that I haven’t been investing enough time on it. Then he helped me to plan some important actions to be implemented. Coaching sessions with Dennis were crucial for me to have some important insights and make decisions about the direction of my efforts in my new business.

Someone was asking one of the First Line Supervisors how he is dealing with me. He said, “I am surprised that I am not afraid of him. I had feared that his style would make me very uncomfortable and I was scared.”
When the person probed him about what I was doing differently than in the past, he said that I ask all the right questions without being judgmental or overly aggressive in my questioning. He also said that I am asking the right level of questions, that I am pushing others to do better, that I am making sure that I am accountable, personally, and that am holding my folks accountable. Then he said that I do not take “no” for an answer but that my tone comes across more like coaching and inquiring about the issue versus assigning blame.
Now this was not solicited by me but was told to me by another person. It actually made me proud of how I still use the tools that you taught me in coaching and that now I use them without thinking. So, I continue to utilize the tools you taught me, so for that I thank you immensely.
